Welcome!
"This competition is open to all level of photographers from the person that has never used an underwater
camera before to the professionals. We have categories to cater for all. This competition should not be
just about winning prizes but rather what each can learn from other like minded people and about having some
competitive fun.
There are three underwater photographic courses running just prior to the shootout to help improve your skills
for the Shootout. If you are struggling with your photography or just want to improve you skills we recommend
doing one of these courses. We also have four short workshops planned during the Shootout in the evenings which
will cover the basics like composition, lighting and how to find subject matter.
So whatever your skill level come along and have some fun with us, learn as much as you can from the competition
and others. This competition has helped me grow as a underwater photographer over the years."
Paul Hunter - Shootout Commitee Chairman
