Welcome!

"This competition is open to all level of photographers from the person that has never used an underwater camera before to the professionals. We have categories to cater for all. This competition should not be just about winning prizes but rather what each can learn from other like minded people and about having some competitive fun.

There are three underwater photographic courses running just prior to the shootout to help improve your skills for the Shootout. If you are struggling with your photography or just want to improve you skills we recommend doing one of these courses. We also have four short workshops planned during the Shootout in the evenings which will cover the basics like composition, lighting and how to find subject matter.

So whatever your skill level come along and have some fun with us, learn as much as you can from the competition and others. This competition has helped me grow as a underwater photographer over the years."

Paul Hunter - Shootout Commitee Chairman

Dates:

Competition dates are 21st to 24th May.
Entries Close on 4th May.  This is also the closing date for payment of Entry Fees.

Entry Fees:

Late entrants will pay the same fee, but will not receive the much sought-after Shootout T-Shirt.  Please help us to organise well by entering as early as possible.

The entry fee entitles you to enter two images into any of the categories (see below).  Once you have checked your images, you may choose to submit additional images.  You may do so at an additional cost of R50 per image - these amounts will be collected in Sodwana Bay.
